Oberoi Helps With Hunt For Staff As 70 Jobs Created By Social Care Provider

Seventy jobs have been created by a social care provider which provides community support and residential care for young adults and children with autism and complex needs.

And it believes that people who have found themselves out of work during the Coronavirus crisis could be a perfect fit.

Chartwell Trust Care needs managers and frontline support workers at its new services which have been added to their existing supported living schemes and residential homes in Leicestershire and London.

It is working with Derby-based Oberoi Business Hub to manage all inbound calls during a recruitment campaign which spans across social media, commercial radio and newspaper websites.

James Page, Chartwell’s Head of HR & Recruitment, said:

“We prefer candidates to have knowledge or experience of working with people with autism or learning disabilities, but there will be those who have found themselves out of work who have those essential requirements and who share the same values as us.

“For example, those who have experience of education services, customer care and who work in teams, will have skills which could be transferable.  All new staff employed will receive comprehensive training, regardless of their experience.

“Our company’s aim is to provide a safe and caring environment in which our clients thrive. For many, this is the first time they will have lived in their own home.

“We teach individuals new skills such as cooking, gardening, sports and other creative skills.

“There are huge strains on the care sector at the moment but the services we provide are still in high demand, despite the COVID 19 crisis, so we are continuing to fill the gap.

“We are advertising these jobs across a broad range of media and Oberoi Business Hub is fulfilling a vital role in being able to handle the many calls which are being generated, 24 hours a day.

“We have worked with Oberoi for many years. They never miss a call and give us a daily report so we can ensure every candidate’s application is being dealt with quickly and we can identify from the report which source of recruitment advertising is providing the greatest return.”

Kavita Oberoi, owner of the Oberoi Business Hub said:

“I know this has been a hard time for many businesses, so it great to see that companies such as Chartwell are still growing and, more importantly, creating vital job opportunities”.

“As we grow our own headcount, we need to make sure our staff remain safe during the COVID 19 outbreak and recent investment in technology allows our teams to take and manage the calls from home.”
