Oberoi Business Hub has attracted two new firms to Derby and has been the springboard for the success of two city companies.

The Hub’s serviced offices on Pride Park were the perfect fit as a base for Empowering U Healthcare which provides nurse-led home care services and community support for people with complex medical needs.

The family firm has built up a reputation of quality care, having been founded in Wolverhampton more than 20 years ago.

Director Gulshan Jakhu said:

“Among our services, we offer 24-hour care for adults and children, including services such as tracheostomy and ventilated care.”

“We have been very successful in the West Midlands and Shropshire and wanted to branch out into the East Midlands and Derby, in particular.”

After a few months, Empowering U Healthcare already has 25 people working in the East Midlands and Gulshan says that the Oberoi Serviced Office has provided a professional environment for meetings with future health sector clients.

Gulshan added:

“We moved in earlier this year and have come quite a way since then. Our office is great, value for money and is a pleasant environment with a mix of businesses and professional all around us.”

Meanwhile, fund management company, Argento Investments, moved from Warrington to the Oberoi Business Hub in the summer.

Director Lee Whittaker said:

“We wanted to be nearer our major partner and needed telephone and mail assistance which is offered by Oberoi.”

“We have six people in our team and very few premises in Derby would have fitted the bill – we have a nice airy office and we always have parking outside.”

“Oberoi Business Hub is a very professional company and the enthusiasm of its founder, Kavita Oberoi, is wonderful.”

“We came out of a fabulous facility at Warrington but the telephone and mail handling services are even better at Oberoi.”

Oberoi Business Hub gave burgeoning IT support company Fortitude Nicsa Global the perfect start. Managing Director Operations, Katy Hibbert, said:

“My husband, Wayne, and I set up a company in 2016 from home. We took on a couple of staff and moved into the Oberoi Business Hub and worked with them to move three times in the building as we expanded.”

“Our company is now doing so well that we have moved to bigger premises at Pride Park.”

Fortitude Nicsa Global now has ten staff in the UK, five in India and have offices in Japan and Brazil. Katy added:

“Oberoi Business Hub really allowed us to grow. We were always able to move within a two-year lease. They were flexible and gave us a great starting point.

Another company on the up is Kedleston Safety which offers health and safety support, training and advice, to a wide range of businesses from its new base at the Oberoi Business Hub on St Christopher’s Way at Pride Park.

Its director Suzanne Dixon, who started her business from her spare room three years ago and was recently a finalist at the East Midlands Chamber Derbyshire Business awards, said:

“We recently moved in and it is absolutely brilliant. It is very central and has really good facilities where we deliver our health and safety training using different rooms for different sized courses”

“ If I am not in the office and need call handling, Oberoi Business Hub offers a call handling service.”

“I am always kept in the loop about developments here and now feel part of the community. I am really excited about that. Kavita keeps businesses together and is very proactive.

Kavita Oberoi said:

“I am delighted that so many of our clients are doing so well after connecting with the Oberoi Business Hub.”

“We are continuing to increase the level of services we offer and are excited when they interact with each other.”

“I am so passionate about business and love to attract companies to Derby where I believe the opportunities are as great as anywhere else in the country.”

Oberoi Business Hub’s serviced offices are for between one and 15 people, have car parking spaces, flexible office room layouts, a managed reception, meeting rooms, informal workspace area, superfast broadband, air-conditioning and can be furnished or unfurnished.
